Wrocław (Poland) - Some more architecture and a bit of green

There's actually a lot of green space in this city, benches wherever one looks, and not to forget, clean public toilets. In fact, with the exception of a few neglected spots, the whole inner city is very clean. The downside, more patrolling police than I'm used to and care to be.
The architecture is very diverse, in some cases mixing in one and the same building, e.g. the Town Hall on Rynek.

One other thing that I noticed and which has nothing to do with architecture is that there seem to live very few people of color in Wrocław. Maybe this observation would change when the 150.000 students will return from summer break, but the city population seems to be 99.9% white.

Wrocław (Poland) - Gnomes

You can find them in the middle of the main shopping area or hidden somewhere in a side street - at least 15 gnomes, but nobody knows exactly how many of them exist on any given day. Some disappear, new ones pop up. They have a special meaning, in addition to being cute and a tourist attraction - quote from the City Spy:
"In the 1980's a group of whacked out anarcho-performance artists called the Orange Alternative staged a slew of Dadaist anti-communist protests. One of which was to dress up like gnomes & run around the city. Now we finally know how the Cold War came to a screeching halt... naughty gnomes ....... in warm underwear...."

Wrocław (Poland) - People

In the first picture there're random pedestrians. The musicians in the second one knew their craft. My mom who was watching from a distance was relieved to see me putting some Złoties into their bag at the end of my siege.
We had dinner in the restaurant in the background of the third picture later that day - pieroggies, which were very good. The people in the picture were patient. One of them had to be.
